Nerfbat Is Back! DDR Style.

So the site was down for a fortnight or so. That sucked, because I had a good bit to vent about or comment on during that time-period. Namely, both EverQuest II and World of Warcraft had patches. The EQII patch was much more significant and even included a /pizza command that I have to comment on if I want to legitimize myself as a frustrated gaming blogger. I’ll do that later. Right now, I have to go play Dance Dance Revolution. Yes, I will admit it. I purchased a DDR game and pad. Let me explain…

I was drunk. At least, I was drunk the first time I tried it. I totally sucked at it, but I had some fun being horrible. I then tried it again a week or two later (Super Bowl party) while also drunk, and I was actually pretty decent at it. I also noticed that I got a really good workout while doing it. Long story short, I’ve been trying to motivate myself lately to get back into good shape. Dance Dance Revolution is a really good workout and the time passes quickly while doing it. Hence, I went out and spent $150 on a pad and the latest PS2 game.

Now, I’m not saying I will ever try to compete against those kids that you see busting a move at the arcade. You know, the ones that spin in circles and jump over rails. Yeah, I’ll never be that good, but I don’t give a crap. I’m Dance Dance Revolution…ing because it is relatively entertaining and is helping me lose that extra 20-odd pounds that I have to shed away in order to respect myself. Plus, the ladies love a guy who can dance dance. Okay, they really don’t, but they do love a guy who isn’t 20+ lbs overweight and doesn’t bother taking care of himself. If you ever have the chance to try out DDR, do so. I would feel like a fruitcake if I were the lone supporter of this particular revolution.
