PlayStation 3 Pre-Orders Have Come and Gone
PS3 pre-orders started today at GameStop (and EBGames) stores around the nation. And they ended. Apparently, they sold out within a very short period of time. Good news for the console, but the total number of reported units seems to be pretty low–somewhere in the 25,000 to 50,000 region (3600 GameStop stores * 8 to 16 units). In other news, I’m back from a brief trip out of town (town being Denver now), so I should be posting more. I’m even considering doing a weekly rant, which I’ve come up with a good 20-30 topics for so far.

Ranting is fun! Like rant about how you miss sunny San Diego and just wish you could come back here =) No, I kid… I’m sure things are fantastic in Colorado.. though a wee bit colder than SoCal.. Anyways, enough of my ramblings…. rant away! =)
Denver is nice. My husband’s grandparents have a vacation home there:) They actually seem to be there more than their real home here, so I guess that makes it their home, and this their vacation home? hehe
Got my ps3 preordered….and welcome back home, man.
Bah! Sony really humped the pooch with its new console. People will get it because it’s a Playstation and it’s new, but their launch title is garbage, they have lost most of their popular exclusive titles (*cough* Assassin’s Creed *cough* Resident Evil *cough*), their asking price borders on the lunatic, nobody wants to develop on their cell technology, and a viable independent researcher (there’s a link out there somewhere) has stated that it will take 2 – 3 years for them to catch up to the Xbox 360 in terms of utilizing 3rd gen. technology.
But who cares, right! We’re PC gamers.
