Happy Birthday, Video Games!
Apparently video games have turned 40, according to 1UP.com. That means that they are very nearly old enough to be my father, or mother… I suppose that really means they COULD be my father or mother given the proper circumstances and a little moral ambiguity. Well, happy birthday to video games. Send me a piece of cake… or do you have pie for your birthday?

To old for cake or pie. Prune juice is the way to go at that age.
This has nothing to do with your blog entry but can you give us your impression of the rise and fall of Sigil and Vanguard. Ah..rather the start and fall. There was not “rise”.
No one remembers Spacewar? It’s 45 years old this year.
I heard there was a wii based version of horseshoes (minus the console/controller) that came out around 200 years ago.
not sure where you get your data Ryan.
I’m not really going to comment on the Sigil ordeal because I don’t know any more than you do. In short, I’m sorry to everyone who was at Sigil and worked extremely hard who no longer has a job and wish them luck in finding another in the industry soon. While some people wanted to see Sigil fail because they are anti-McQuaids or whatever, when families are involved you have to have a heart and wish them the best.
Happy birthday Video Games!
Just so everyone knows, I hear Mr. Video Game has been asking for buffs for his birthday.
