Penguins the Cutest Thing Ever? Bethesda MMO Company!
Disney has acquired Club Penguin for $350-700 million. That is proof that penguins are, in fact, the cutest things on planet Earth. Will the penguin craze ever end? Disney appears not to think so. In unrelated news, ZeniMax, parent company of Bethesda Softworks (Morrowind, Fallout 3), is entering the MMO market with a new branch called ZeniMax Online Studios. Actually, Ryan, I wouldn’t quite rule out the possibility of an Elder Scrolls MMO quite yet. As posted recently by Michael Kirkbride, one of the creators of the Elder Scrolls series and responsible for such things as Morrowinds “Thirty Six Sermons of Vivec”:
Cryptic as hell, but than again that is what MK is famous for in the Elder Scrolls fanbase. Obscure and fascinating.
Actually, bethesda is making an elder scrolls mmo, already invested over 300 million into the project, saw the announcement on attack of the show here in washington state. I just hope its more like oblivion and less like world of warcraft, that would ruin it for me.
