Indy, not to be rude but your comment was quite ignorent.

Sam never said he was not enjoying the game.	He stated that the expansion pack is lackluster. Having the grind in order to unlock one of the key selling points of this 'addon pack' is rediculous at best.

GIVE me content for once, stop making me spend tons of time to get the content I paid for.

Continuing along the path they took with TBC and WoW in general this one has a lore screwover of a magnitude that cannot even be described.

As of Warcraft 3's and the Frozen Thrones ending the Lich King was the only thing present that in fact kept the Burning Legion away, since Ner'Zhul and the Scourge posed a serious threat to them. Also it was stated that Arthas was THE LAST Death Knight to be created (not as in, the most recent, but as in, the last there'll ever be).

WoW brought in a rather odd alignment of races in the Horde and Alliance already, but TBC and now Wrath of the Lich King just screw everything over even more. I guess since TBC already brought the Burning Legion and the Black Portal back they thought they might aswell let the Lich King be killed off by players. (Which would have an effect on the entirety of the Scourge, and maybe the Forsaken, that would either mean instant death, or something similar to what the Zerg went through after the Overminds defeat).

I don't see any way of there ever being a WarCraft 4, which probably is why StarCraft 2 popped up suddenly, and hopefully will never become an MMO. My guess on the next Hero Classes are: Farseer, which is pretty much Thrall only, and he was a VERY extraordinary individual from the beginning. Archmage, which again is limited to very very few, usually associated with the High Elves, and, since theyre giving out Arthas' class, and he defeated Illidan, of course Demon Hunter.

One can only wonder when people will be able to get Epic Hero classes, like Guardian, and go face to face with Medivh.

I think this expansion is going to speed up WoW falling apart in terms of playerbase. It looks like more of the 'let's ignore lvl 1-60' malaise that BC really had. If they revamp some of the lvl 30-60 stuff, I'll rethink that, but with the death knight, they are basically saying, lets let you skip it all once you are 80, so you don't have to pay attention to the new players working their way up.

Having played WoW for a couple of years, and engaging the Burning Crusade content, I do agree with you that the features are underwhelming. To be honest with you, I almost feel some of this is forced. The developers for Blizzard were talking about real hero classes and siege weapons a couple of years ago.

Now all of a sudden... we have a hero class, but really if one looks at it, the class is a glorified alt. All that work, that blood, that sweat, and those tears you poured over for your main... all so you can make a new alt with some new skills that starts off at a higher level. Don't get me wrong, I think that it is a solid idea to have alts start off at a higher level, but for a class like the Death Knight? Wow, there's already a lot of problems with people who don't want to learn how to play their class, what sort of encouragement is this going to be with that sector of the population?

As far as the new PvP mechanics go, I can't help but feel like Blizzard is tossing some stuff into the expansion pack so they can say, "Hey, yeah, we know Warhammer Online is developing this stuff, but look, we have it in World of Warcraft too! So... yeah, don't leave!"

Despite my beefs with the expansion pack, Warhammer Online is going to be in for a tough battle if they release early next year. I'm wondering if we'll see EAMythic delay the game for a month-month and a half to let people get worn out on WoW:WotLK and see some solid numbers when they launch.

'08 should be interesting!

Here's a radical thought sam..... if you don't enjoy it, don't play. Don't buy it. Use your time (and money) to play something else that you DO find fun.

meh......I was hoping for a revamp of Azeroth.

absolutely nothing exciting here. If they'd given horde the class of deathknight instead of pallies with BC that would have been cool.

this whole unlocking a silly new class with a level 80 quest. Whippeee like getting a new mount to grind for. How about they just hand out arsenic. It would be more fun.

I have the sudden urge to read Lord of the Rings ...

All in all, based on the FAQs and the feature list, I'm not impressed.
