Wired on Halo 3. OMG.
Okay, I’m not that much of a fanboi anymore. There aren’t many games that can get be excited enough to classify myself as one of them. One shining exception, however, is the Halo series. I finally picked up Halo 2 over the weekend after buying an Xbox 360 (my Xbox croaked just before Halo 2, and I bought the 360 in large part because of Halo 3). It’s awesome, even if I suck still. I was even on the first team at the first fanfest to win the Halo championship. Seriously. That’s me in the back left corner with the gray shirt. I was part of Colorado Elite Force. Okay, the point of this post… Wired has a great article on Halo 3. I’d love to have access to that testing facility. Holy crap.

I am giddy for Halo 3. This might be the first game I go wait around at midnight for, and thats only happened at a few select movies (SW, LOTRO, etc), never a game.
Also add my ass to your 360 friendlist BG. I am up for some bomberman anytime.
I’m Shwayder on Xbox Live. I have the Halo 3 Limited Edition pre-ordered at my local GameStop and plan on going to the midnight release party. If you haven’t pre-ordered yet, do so. They were already out of Legendary Edition pre-orders when I went, which was good because I might have purchased that ($130) edition if it wasn’t gone already.
Halo was perfectly designed for the “What happens if I…?” player. With the random generator at each checkpoint, I could play Assault on the Control Room forever.
Pretty cool… who knew you were so 1337.
I’ve seen their metrics in person. Good stuff. Bungie is definitely ahead of the curve when it comes to this kind of thing. Although to say that MS Research has “created a new science of play” is… stretching it, a bit? The guys there do great work, but there are other people doing work like that, too. We just don’t have as much money as MS to pour into it. Yet
Nice, you should get Madden 08 too, me and Woad are getting it. I plan on getting Halo 3 too, anyway I will add you on Live when I am on (its Teljair).
