The Orc King
R.A. Salvatore. Drizzt Do’Urden. Two names that you pretty much have to know if a) You come to my blog ever, b) You know anything about 38 Studios, c) You have ever considered yourself a fan of fantasy at all. Drizzt is back in a new trilogy from R.A. Salvatore, and the first book is called The Orc King. Any good? Well, it’s currently #7 on the New York Times Bestselling List, #9 in the Wall Street Journal, and #6 in Publishers Weekly. Congrats to Bob, and pick up his new book to check it out.

I love the books. I hate that every fantasy MMO ends up having hundreds, even thousands, of misspelled versions of the name. EQ was lousy with rangers possessing dark elf illusion masks.
Well, it means its /popular/, not that its good
..but I hear its pretty darn good, so hooray!
The book kicks all kinds of butt. This one is deffinitely worth the read!
one other thing … I think I may be biased, so go buy it and judge for yourself
If you are a fan of the previous books, then this is a great addition to the series. If you have never read a Salvatore book before, then I would recommend you read the previous 3 first(The Thousand Orcs being the 1st of the trilogy), as this trilogy is the basis of what occurs in the book, which also hints at a series of changes alluded to in the intro of this book, which will affect the Realms setting.
The book is comprised of 4 parts, with each part having a sort of inner voice of Drizzt setting up each part, and analysing the dilemmas and choices faced by him. The actual 4 parts are in the main, fast paced solid action.
