It wasn't a big deal, but I've got a bunch of stuff on the site beyond WordPress, so it was just a matter of exporting the old DB and then running the SQL. The largest problem I face is that I have family and friends who use my domain for email, trying to get them to clean up their email inboxes and save off stuff they want to keep before I switch is a chore.

Booyah! Thanks a lot, Jason. If you have any questions about getting it set up, let me know. It should be a simple transition. You should definitely back up the database, but you can probably just export the data to a file and import it to WordPress directly (Manage > Export).

Truthfully, I'm not sure which is better.

Well, I did sign up and used the code, got my sweet $20 discount. :) I'll actually finish moving the site later as its a complicated jumble of mirroring, moving and adjusting.

So, I'm guessing that any website that's made using a NERFBAT promo code gets heavily advertised on this site, amirite?

Had to be asked. ;P

Note that they are working on moving a datacenter right now and will be working on the web panel at some point tonight, so don't freak out if things are going slow or aren't working entirely. It's usually very good.

Awesome. :) Let me know if/when you sign up and I'll give you your sweet forum name color. I may change it from blue to something easier to distinguish, just trying to find a good color that's still readable.

Well, I was looking for a new host anyway. Dreamhost is half the price for twice the price and features, so I'm moving. Promo code NERFBAT for the win!

Aw, don't cry. I could use an actual domain for my start-up thingy rather than mooch off wordpress. I'll sign-up with DH on Thursday or friday when I find some time. Used Godaddy for my last host and they are okay, but some of their stuff did kind of annoy me.
