Interested in Playing Hockey?

I’m going to be playing in the Novice League at Navin Skating Rink in Marlborough, MA starting next month. The games start at 10:00PM on Fridays from February 13th on. You can sign up for the season or per game. I’ll also be at the Advanced Intro Clinics on Tuesdays. They’re trying to expand from 4 to 6 teams, which is why I’m fishing for more people. Would like to see someone sign up!

  1. Good luck in the league. It sounds like fun. We have a great semi-new ice arena downtown here. I tried to get back into playing a couple years ago, but I just didn’t have the time. Once I drop another 10 or so pounds, I may try again. If I lived in Boston I would definitely think about it.

  2. Hockey is great! I just got back into it two years ago after a 12 year absence. As a goalie, it sucks not being anywhere near as flexible as I used to be, but I’m working on it! :)

Ahh playing hockey – the good old days of being young (which wasn’t that long ago!) I wish I was in the Boston area so I’d have a catalyst like this to kick me into lacing up the skates again. Much <3 for playing left wing with my “almost” legal curved Victoriaville setting up the scoring opportunities. I hope you can get enough folks to expand the teams!

  4. Psshhhh! Who needs curve? I get the least amount of heel curve I can find and make sure it’s a closed blade. I like keeping my slapshots low. I need a new board though… I used to practice with one in the garage that was exactly the height of the widest goalie pads so I could slapshot just above it (hard to save because they can’t use their pads and have trouble getting their hands in the way right there). Also, I need a garage. Crap.
