Dear BioWare, massively multiplayer games are popular. Players like to get into your beta test to try a game out for free and/or because they are excited to play it. As such, beta sign-ups are always very popular. It is advisable to have a hefty server (preferably one that can scale) running your website when you announce anything major, such as beta sign-ups. Love, Blackguard. (Feel free to try to sign up to beta test Star Wars: The Old Republic, if you dare).
While I’ve been fairly verbal in my dislike of most DRM solutions, I still abhor video game piracy because I make video games and piracy puts companies out of business (and screws me out of jobs). There haven’t been a lot of accessible methods to show kids why piracy is bad, so I felt compelled to provide a link to a very well-made video that not only communicates the message, but does it in such a way that people can enjoy learning about it. Don’t Copy That Floppy. There’s also a sequel called Don’t Copy That 2.
I really like this service that Champions Online has called “Rate My Champion.” It’s essentially a Hot or Not for superheroes. If you want to see and rate Luckbad, my supremely awesome avatar in Champions, then Rate My Champion! By the way, if you vote “Super Heroic” on Luckbad, then you are cool. If you don’t, you hate puppies, kittens, and babies. You can also rate my other champions, o.o and x.x. They are also quite… interesting.
She was intense. No, she was INTENSE! Your first experiences with her were just absolutely crazy. You had almost no idea what was going on, and couldn’t even understand whatever language it was she spoke. She was fun as hell for a few weeks, but her intensity never let up. Eventually, after getting tired of her coming after you with a longsword and shouting things in another language, it was time to move on and let her go.
She promised a lot. She promised you could go anywhere with her without having to wait. She promised you wouldn’t have to always act one way with her, and could choose to do what you wanted to. She promised she would change and do new and interesting things with you regularly. She wore clothes she made herself, rather than name brands you might recognize. She was prettier than EQ in some ways, but less attractive in others. On the whole, despite fulfilling her promises to some degree, she just didn’t seem as deep or interesting as your last girlfriend, so you moved on after a few months of fun.
